Serving Our Community Through Partnership
AEMC is committed to serving those in need through collaboration with local organizations that share our values of compassion and service. In partnership with the 5th Ward Islamic Center for Human Development, which provides weekly meals to individuals experiencing homelessness in one of Houston’s historically underserved communities, Al-Amin had the privilege of sponsoring a Sunday community meal.
The women of AEMC lovingly prepared the meals, while our youth volunteered alongside the 5th Ward Islamic Center team to serve the homeless. This collaboration reflects the Islamic principles of mercy, generosity, and caring for our neighbors, while providing our youth with the opportunity to put their faith into action through community service.
“And they give food, despite their love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, saying, ‘We feed you only for the sake of Allah. We seek from you neither reward nor thanks.’”
Watch a Moment from the Day
This partnership is a meaningful example of how communities can come together to make a positive impact through faith, service, and compassion.
